The Motor-park Health and Safety Program is a Lagos State government medical outreach for commercial transporters in the state.
The objective is to provide screening services for common non-communicable diseases like hypertension and diabetes. It also aims to prevent blindness and some other common health issues that contribute to road traffic accidents. This year, mental health sensitization was included in the program of services provided at the Ojodu Berger Motorpark.
The team consisted of doctors, nurses, ophthalmologists and optometrist, health educators and psychologists.
The program ran for three days from 29th – 31st January, 2020.
The commercial drivers, along with members of the NURTW Berger Chapter, were sensitized on the hazards of drug and substance abuse and addiction.
