Biography
Professor Adewuya is Professor of Public Mental Health at the Lagos State University College of Medicine and an Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.
His work spans the epidemiology of common mental disorders in Nigeria, the integration of mental health into primary care, and the design of scalable, affordable interventions for low-resource settings. He led the Mental Health in Primary Care (MeHPriC) project, which developed and tested a depression management plan across Lagos primary health centres.
